I'm wondering if I should do the same. But, the way = I was thinking was....the mount plate basically gives the sump increased capacity. Having increased capacity is a good thing. More oil in the "cooling pool" in the sump. My pickup can reach as much oil as it could stock, since I've added 1/4 inch to the level. Since I have the extra = oil, it would be nice to reach it if I run that low, but if I run THAT low I = have serious problems somewhere. Make any sense?=20 =20 Yeah. I have the stock oil level sensor wired to a light on the panel, = but I'm not sure it does any good now since I was moved down, in relation to = the oil pickup tube. I honestly don't know if the oil level would trigger before, or after I stopped picking up oil.
