Blast from the past.  In Jan 2006, I had flown to Shady Bend, Fl to visit Tracy Crook.  While there, I get a phone call from my wife telling me that she had gotten a call from my airport telling her my hangar had blown away!   Well, I must admit I was a bit at a loss for words,  "What do you mean?" I ask, but, that was all the information she had.

So I returned home to Goose Creek airport to find my qunset hut hanger looking like in the photo.  My aircraft stay in that hangar 99% of the time and I am sure it would have been totalled had it been present when a thunderstorm took the hangar for a ride.

I later replaced it with this one and later added a door - the lack of which may have been a factor in the 1st one getting caught by the wind and torn loose.  I also threw cables over the top and anchored the ends in concrete.  The second one has remained to this day.

So not all of my airplane adventures occurred in the Air😁
