FINN: You’re correct, and I should have tried to get Bernie’s installation when he was getting rid of it many years ago…wonder if it ever flew again, or is sitting in someone’s garage or was parted out?
I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelly Troyer gave Ryan an offer and went out to Utah and bought that Powersport installation go with the many other rotary museum pieces he has in his hanger! :)

******************************************************* You're a few years late. Bernie Kerr did have that.
Anyhow, this guy (Ryan) actually was on this list trying to get his RV-8 installation working. Cooling problems. Truly takes a tinker to enjoy getting a rotary installation working.
With all the knowledge available here it's amazing how we still can make it tough on ourselves. I knowingly erred on too small radiators. As Tracy said, should be big enough with perfect airflow. Tougher to do it this way as opposed to staring with oversize rads and then optimizing cooling by reducing airflow (and drag).
However, for some odd reason I seem to enjoy tinkering more that flying.

Wow…why can’t anyone ever sell a nice RWF installation for an RV-9A???? If I were building an “8”, this would be a fabulous way to get flying soonest!
