We pulled our exhaust for inspection yesterday after ~40 hours of torture.
OEM headers into 155deg stainless bend into 430mm (17in) muffler (basically a tube with an auger welded inside) and exit pipe. All inside the cowl.
We had had the insides ceramic coated (as much as possible) then rapped it all to reduce cowl heat. Bends with header wrap and the muffler with kiln paper and thin aluminium sheet.
Where the part had a good ceramic coat it looks fine inside and out. The auger inside the muffler tube however is already significantly damaged.
