I did some more digging and found these pics.
These are from a reproduction made from some of the drawings that exist somewhere.

I sent the relevant pics to the list, but I'm happy to send you everything I've got if you want. I have no data at all; just the pics that do show configuration, and hint at internal structure via the weld lines that are visible.

Those are some good pics.
The main advantage Al's design (besides bringing the DB level down) is the fact that there is no packing material involved.
That's a real vulnerable area as was proven by Mistral and others.

Looking closer, they're pretty small and only a few are relevant. You can see at least some weld detail on the turning vanes mentioned. Here you go:
