I don't know if anyone has seen these, but Morris Models puts out a series of engine models including a Wankel rotary. My son assembled this as part of his summer learning. Wait until I have him helping me assemble the real thing!
I'm going to add a pulley and a motor on the back to have it turn on it's own. Pretty cool for a 13yo!
