A friend who kept his C170 my hangar while he was in med school, and I, started looking for a gyro to play with back then. (I had about 20 years on him; he had family money on me.) My neighbors here at the airport caught wind of it while we were looking. My wife, who isn't a pilot but absolutely *loves* to fly with me and supports just about anything I want to attempt, and has hopped into the back seat of a Suzuki powered flexwing with a pilot she'd never met without even a pause, put her foot down after they started talking behind my back. So never got a chance to even ride in one. But the dream never dies.... But my interest at the moment is wondering how many hours the guy has accumulated by now. While typing this I'm pretty sure I've remembered his name; I believe it was Gary Buster. Didn't get many search hits, but there is a page showing a gyro flight & it sounds like a rotary in the video. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCze4ZSUvZk7QinVJvoo-0FQ Unfortunately, it looks like he passed away a couple of years ago; there's an obit that shows up when searching for his name.
