The cheek gets smaller as it goes aft, so if you cut = the cowl to the "normal" length, the opening would be larger than if you = left the cowl at almost full length. My original cowl was cut shorter, but = now, I'm at full length. =20 =20 Just out of curiosity, measure the maximum height of the cowl cheek at = the firewall. Mine measure 9-3/4" and 10-1/8".
