I changed this in order to install a Fuel Flow Transducer so shifted the = regulator to the firewall where fuel returned to the header tank.=20 So from the firewall forward we are returnless with the flow transducer = and insulated fine fuel filter above the engine just before the fuel = rail. We=E2=80=99ve not had any issue with fuel vapour locking. Our rail = pressure us about 50psi. Regulator just after fuel pumps, returning = directly to tank. 3/8" alum tube 3' to firewall, then a 3/8" EFI hose to = a Standard filter sitting on top of engine and from there 5/16" EFI hose = to Tee to primary and secondary fuel rails. Pressure sender at end of = secondary fuel rail (where the damper normally sits). After the first = run where I got up to operating temps, I could hear fuel boil after = shutdown. Tracy is also using a returnless system in his RV-8, so it can = be made to work. However, I may need to move the fuel filter into the = fuselage so it doesn't get heated by the engine. Of course if the prop = was on it would cool some. >=20 > Finn >=20 > On 6/8/2020 7:44 PM, Stephen Izett stephen.izett@gmail.com wrote: >> Progress Finn. >> Must have been encouraging the it went smooth! >>=20 >> Cheers >>=20 >> Steve >>=20 >>> On 9 Jun 2020, at 12:26 am, Finn Lassen finn.lassen@verizon.net = wrote: >>>=20 >>> I fixed the engine monitor so it now shows RPM.
