I believe the last update to my removed EC2 supported direct auto tune. But it’s been too long ago. My EC3 auto tune works better but only tunes to a reasonable operating range. Fine tuning is done manually with wideband O2. Auto tune in descent with reduced power never worked well. But I suspect the constant speed prop added another variable. I don’t remember the lowest operating MP 10”-12” before fuel cutoff but I could easily hit that area if I closed the throttle too much during descent. Tracy added code to my EC3 to disallow any program changes for a few seconds after power up. At some point I had one fuel map address associated with current pressure that would reprogram itself to usually full lean. It was happening maybe 7 out of 10 power cycles. I hope you guys get the EC2/3 code working. I think many of us would like to see a production round of EC3 boards so we could have a tested spare.

I’m slowing working on the S21 FWF. It will be another 6-8 months before the airframe kit arrives.

Bobby

I think you have to have an EM2 along with EC2 in order for the Autotune to function. You use the buttons and bar graph to control and monitor the actions, Bobby would know better than me. David R. Cook RV6A Rotary

Be sure to verify that your wideband sensor outputs in the range of 0 - +5 volts if using a wideband type. To select the type in use, use the power up program mode method below:
