Mine faces forward, as well; looks similar to Bobby's pic. IMO, you'll have little luck configuring the stock manifold for aft exit while preserving the designed-in noise/heat containment, outside the Mazda factory environment using new parts. Once you cut one open, you'll see what I mean. It's only slightly less complicated than the stock intake manifold. :-)
