Subject: [FlyRotary] I'm = exhausted

Greetings,

I had to send = along a pic=20 of the new exhaust.  I'm VERY pleased with the fit.  I = installed the=20 exhaust flanges with high temp RTV, and no gasket, so we'll see if = Lynn is=20 playing a practical joke on us :-)   There are a few heat = shielding=20 chores to be done, mostly because the fit is so tight.  I'm = particularly=20 unenthused about having the exhaust right behind the oil=20 cooler...

I surveyed = all the=20 plumbing today, and found that I need a few more fittings, so those = will be=20 ordered Monday.  Tomorrow, I move on to the EM-2 = installation, and=20 re-working all the other general engine wiring.  I'm off the = next=20 two weeks, and I expect to have the engine running again by the end of = the=20 coming week.

Cheers,
Rusty  = (flight=20 checklist... Nomex suit- check, Parachute- check)

Looks great, Rusty.

You've come a ways = on the=20 welding skills.  Err... do I detect a missing motor mount tube in = the=20 vicinity of the exhaust headers?.  If I had a nickel for = everytime my=20 motor mount got into the way of a design,  I could buy a Renesis = engine=20 {:>).

Hope to see you flying soon. = Again.  Be=20 interesting to see what you think of the performance with out the=20 tubo.
