I too understood it is based on the Franklin mount, I think = the one that Velocity sells. The infamous "Paul Lamar" hates it. I have = spoken to Fred Breeze the owner of Conversion Concepts and he seems like a thoughtful, conscientious man. Since I have never learned to weld = (hanging my head in disappointment and shame at that fact) I was thrilled to find = a ready made solution for a mount. And, I still intend to learn how to = weld . FWIW. I can't recommend the Conversion Concept mounts highly enough. I've = looked into using a rotary engine for years, but one of the things that kept me from pursuing it was the mount. I couldn't weld, and just didn't think = I'd ever trust a mount that I made myself. Fred's mounts are wonderful, and well engineered. You will spent a fair amount of money to get one, but = what you get will fit, be safe, and Fred will stand behind it. Fred's also a hell of a nice guy, which is an added bonus. =20 As many of you know, I now have a TIG welder, and would have no excuse = for not making my own mount on the next plane. Guess what, I would buy the = next mount from Fred in a heartbeat.
