Subject: Is this normal behavior?

I was rechecking the EC-2 behavior today when I disable the injectors.
With the engine at about 3K rpm I disabled the primary injectors and the
engine stumbled a little then picked up and ran but when I looked over at
the EM-2 I saw that the engine rpm was indicating 7300 rpm!  This was only
an indication since the engine had not increased speed.

I then increased the manifold pressure to about 22 inches and over 4K rpm
and disabled the primary injectors again.  The engine transitioned much
smoother and ran, but I was watching the EM-2 this time and the rpm
indication first jumped to 7900 then to zero.  This while the engine
continued at the same speed.

I have never looked at the rpm before when I checked the injectors but this
does not seem like normal behavior.  Is it??

Bill
