Thanks for the help.
I am intrigued that c. directs to adjust the Mode #3 at a MAP = below staging.
Tracy=92s notes say at approx = 23=94.
I thought mode #3 would be for above = staging.

I=92ll = go back and re read.

The tuning procedure then becomes the = same whether the primary and secondary injector flow rates are different = or identical:

a.  Set the staging = threshold at a MAP corresponding to the high end of the primary injector = flow limit using mode 7.  (For 40 lb injectors, about 20" MAP works = well.)

b.  Adjust Mode 3 to get a mid = scale O2 sensor reading at a MAP just below the staging threshold = MAP.

c.  Adjust mode 6 to get a mid = scale O2 sensor reading at a MAP just above the staging threshold = MAP.

d.  Adjust mode 2 for best = operation at minimum idle MAP.

Thanks = Jeff
I thought everything was zero=92ed since last = program but I=92ll go through and reset all settings.
I thought given the parameters set at chip program such as = RX8, Staging Point and Large Secondaries I wouldn=92t need to play with = timing or with Mode 6.
But I=92ll go through all of = them now.

So = my todo will be:
1. Full reset of EC2 = parameters
2. Setup timing and check for ?deg = @?RPM
3. Set Mode 3 Inj Flow Rate
4. Set Mode 2 Dynamic Range
5. Set Mode = 6 Sec Inj Differential
6. Go to WOT and check = adjust mixture

A couple more questions for you guys:
1. = What plugs are all you other guys using? Do I have some good = options?
2. Remind me how to set eccentric at = TDC?
3. Sounds like EC2=92s advance curve is not = flat, what advance setting for what RPM for stock Renesis = 4-port?
4. I can=92t seem to find the command for a = global reset the EC2, do I need to reset each mode to default, I seem to = remember reading of a global reset?
5. Tracy, if = your around at present, can you confirm any special quirks for our = 4-port or general tuning?

Thanks everyone.
Much = appreciated.

I=92ll then check the staging point is at 15.5=94

Your fuel map is 128 bins wide = x 256 bins high as in an X/Y graph, with ZERO settings on the vertical = scale.
My map is displayed with Ed=92s = EFISM and is 0 to 256 on the vertical scale; I think Tracy=92s EM = displays it as -128 to +128.
After = setting Mode 3 and Mode 2, all your settings should still read either 0 = or 128.
At this point, your fuel flow = is based on 23=94 MP and 0 or 128 fuel value.
I would expect as you open the throttle that more fuel will = be required at 30=94 MP Vs 23=94 =96 has always been true with my = engine.
Have you confirmed that you = actually have a staging-point; i.e., where the injectors flip from just = PRI to both PRI and SEC? =96 Very important to confirm where it = is.
Confirm both Timing and = Staging; repeat Modes 3 and 2 then use Mode 1 to tune fuel bin value at = WOT.

Hi Guys
Could = I get some feedback on process and my thinking here.
I=92m seeking to tune in our EC2 Renesis 4 port with = Elec adjustable prop

Steps so far (can only run for 15mins before = overheating)
OAT is presently 33-40C = 91-104F
Prop set course

1. EC2 Injector and Coil diagnostics = all good
2. With 2 squirts she starts = well after approx 2-3 revs of the starter.
3. Run her up to ~23=94 and adjusted Injector Flow = Rate - Mode #3 for approx Lamba of 1 on Wide Band
4. Set Idle of approx 1200RPM Adjusted Injection = Dynamic Range - Mode #2 for same.

All OK to this point. Adjustments made in Mode #2 and = #3 of EC2 reflect clearly on Wideband O2.
Switching between A and B computers makes no = difference.

Now = opening throttle up gets us to approx 5000 rpm (course Prop) but its = missing as more power comes on and is quite severe. (Not missing now and = then, but constant)
Selecting between A and B computers (Backup CAS) makes no = difference)
