I have corresponded with the gentleman selling the engine. Was thinking about marrying up the 20B with the Barracuda that is also listed for sale on Barnstormers. Almost 100% decided against it though.
Although I havent ruled out just buying it to put into my Glasair (whenever that is done...) but I dont need the extra weight of a 3rd rotor and Turbo.
"Completely rebuilt and reworked for aviation use by a professional shop in NC for the previous owner.
He could not sell his Lancair with the rotary in it, so removed it for a lycoming to facilitate selling.
I bought it for him with big plans and never touched it - kept covered in my garage.
Lot of custom work as can be seen.
I remember less than 100hrs on the Lancair.
No known issues."

He's a retired aerospace engineer (in his 70s - worked for Boeing). If it's the same guy, he was looking at getting in the air (going Lycoming) and stop fiddling around with the engine. Talked a couple of hrs about the project, unfortunately, I didn't have the $$ at the time to make an offer. Seemed like a sharp guy, on point with every question asked about the engine.
