Hate to see you have to do that, Chris. But, no one can say you =
didn=E2=80=99t give it 150%, I would have probably switched long ago. =
As Tracy said (sort of) life is too short not to enjoy what you have =
left of it. Hopefully, your rotary power plant will find a home behind =
some other canard.

Best of luck with the Continental.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Bowing out.....

Well, I have purchased a Continental 360 for my Velocity. It is =
currently being overhauled. I still love the rotary and mine is =
seemingly running great right now. However, I have become weary of all =
the tinkering....taking two steps forward three steps back. I turn 53 =
on May 8th and I would really like to fly outside of orbiting the =
pattern and go somewhere before I get too old and/or lose my medical. I =
have perfected the failure mode but think I got the firewall aft as it =
should be, but alas, it may be better for someone else.

If there is interest, I am happy to part with my install.....well. maybe =
not happy as I become very attached. :-) I prefer to see it all go =
together. The current IVO inflight adjustable prop is set up for a =
pusher. I have some desirable pieces, Tracy's RD-B PSRU, two EC2's, one =
EM2, stock oil cooler, turbo, and, maybe the plumb of the bunch, a =
Mistral intake. I know I cant get back what I have in it, but I would =
like to get something and I think the intake may be worth a premium. =
Since I look at all you guys and girls as friends, if you may be =
interested, I sure we could come to mutually pleasing terms.=20

I don't come to this choice lightly however, if I would have just pulled =
the trigger, saved some cash and installed a standard engine a while =
back I likely would have been flying for the last several years. =
However, I really like the rotary, the engineering behind it and all the =
support and effort that all y'all continue to put into it. This is not a =
commentary on the rotary, it may be a commentary on my ability. I =
actually think I have some ability but I am just tired of not making =
solid strides.=20

There is probable much more to be said, but I tend to be too verbose as =
it is and I am sure this will not be my last comments on the issue.
