I would highly recommend you use a filter for our conditions, vast majority of strips are dirt here, and the dust will get everywhere on your plane. you really don't want to restrict yourself to sealed airstrips as you'll quickly run out of places to fly to.
I use a pod uni filter direct onto the TB, weighs bugger all. but any filter will be better than none.
