Think about it. the air volume contained in the cabin of an airliner escaping through a hole of less than 1/2 inch in diameter?I'm sure the pressurization system would stay well ahead of the air leakage. Maybe using Hollywood physics, but not it's not happening in the real world.

I was thinking more of the stress risers caused by an uneven hole being ripped through the skin leading to a TWA Constellation type event, but I must admit that I've shot some steel barrels but not many airplanes. 8*)
