I actually said that somewhat tongue in aileron.
 
If the doors are  strong enough to prevent forcible ingress, what is the purpose of the arms. If they are not strong enough, the solution is different, simpler and more elegant.(better doors).

The reason they arm the crew in the cockpit is so they can defend the cockpit.
They don't open the door.
 
I have a nephew that has been an Air Marshall for several years now. The take responsibility for the cabin.
