I don't have a good answer for where,
but I can certainly tell you when -- before 1Nov2012.
Until then, Sportsman's Warehouse and Cabelas had 9mm 115g for
about $11 /50. I think you only have a Cabelas near you. That
leaves the mail/web order houses such as Midway USA (Missouri) and
Natchez Shooters Supply (TN). The former advertises Remington
for 12.29 plus shipping, but out-of-stock - no backorder.
However, they'll probably get stock before any local store, with
the possible exception of Wal-Mart.
Best bet was to buy enough previously to keep a 500 round reserve,
plus enough to practice with for at least two years (probably
should have been four, this time around).
So, what are you guys carrying for a survival arm when you fly
over wilderness areas? I was originally planning on an 18"
barreled AR-15 clone; but with the current controversy, I've
settled on a .30-30 lever gun.

Chris,
Well, it is low IFR here in Austin-Lockhart today, so the
wife and I went to the shooting range. We would have stayed
longer, but in case you haven't heard, there's a severe shortage
of ammo virtually everywhere. So, tell me Chris, what's the
inside skinny on where to buy 9mm?

my test area and climbed as quickly as the power/heat

up around 8000 MSL and just in a tight circle around a
turning point with one wing up in the sky and the other
pointed at my turning point - the engine dies.

of the engine thankfully returned - when one wing tank is
low on fuel one should probably not make continuous turns
with feeding from the down wing tank. Switch tanks and
went home to change underwear.

Don't leave until you feel comfortable doing so.

fuel filter (ultimately removing it....very small passages

around the patch. This is sometime more an issue than it
would seem at a towered field with heavy military/NASA
traffic under Class B.

Dynon 5.1 update. Along with "Clouds Ahoy" ya get a pretty
nice picture off the flight and parameters. This was only
the ninth flight but was more fun as I seem to be getting
things sorted. Still haven't left the pattern :-)
