after thinking a lot about the risks and
realizing that the plane is a luxury i could get by without, if i was still
alive, i dropped all of my rv-6a insurance. i've paid car insurance for 33
years now and never filed a claim. i'd drop that too, if the law allowed
it. think about it, they realize that at a certain dollar amount it's a
good risk. don't pay and you are in the insurance business. thirty
three years of premiums i could afford a pretty good payout. besides, they
tend not to sue guys with no money.

IMHO, if you can afford to fly, you can afford to NOT carry
insurance. I hate those guys.

Flew a C 172 to Texas from Wi. The individual who bought the plane was a
student and couldn't take it down there by himself. He got insurance. In
order for me to fly it down there with one particular insurance company
required a TYPE rating of over 300 hours on a particular type of 172.....
Apparently total time, complex and twin time don't mean anything even if you
are current in a C 172. He promptly dumped the carrier (wish I knew
which one it was) and got another carrier. > > The insurance

The insurance companys are getting worse.
Watch the fine print.....
More motivation to get the super rebel
flying.
