Ernest,
My MAP lines are nowhere near my exhaust, so I don't have a problem
with melting the lines. In your case I would suggest using steel or
SS tubing (brake line is available in various lengths at most auto
parts stores) in the really hot areas. I would also use a heat shield
to guard the MAP line from infra red heat.
