Very good point.  I have the one bearing that did not fall off and one that I already had, but they look different so it seems this is a good time to replace them both.  Hell, I have done this much more work, waiting a few days more should not make much difference.

Also, I just returned from a few days in the Texas Hill Country on the Guadalupe River in Gruene.  A lot of hammock time and a Margarita or two.  It was a balance of doing a "whole lot of nothing" and a Mountain Dew commercial.....Today I am taking a break to recover from all the relaxation before heading back to serve and protect.

Oh, yeah, I did consider detouring by Lockhart on my way back but was pretty tired from "relaxing".  Sorry Marc...heck, you were hopefully flying.

Chris,

Competition would be for "racing only" in this case.

Price difference really doesn't matter, but call Mazdatrix and see if there is a preference for one over the other.
Typically I like using Mazda OEM stuff, but more than a little curious on this one.

(Wouldn't you hate to find out the competition required machining the house for an extra 0.002" clearance, only
to learn that after you have everything together and sitting at Dennis' house?  -- Not that I've ever done anything like that in the past!)

Tom

Another question regarding the trust bearing.  Since my search for a cross referenced part has hit an impasse, I am likely gonna delay my front components/cover install and order the bearings through Mazdatrix tomorrow, baring my finding good information.  My question is any big difference between what is listed as the standard bearing and the "competition" bearing...especially since the competition bearing is cheaper by a few bucks.  Is "Competition" a brand name?

Thanks

Chris

Does anybody know a cross referenced part number (or a place I can find out) for the two roller bearings that go on the e-shaft in the front housing.  I have gotten my engine back together and I want to pick two up from the local parts store and not have to wait on an order from Mazdatrix.  I imagine they are just spec roller bearings that may be in stock.  I was hoping to get the front cover on tonight and try to get the engine back on the project before I return to work tomorrow. The Mazdatrix number is 11-505B-0813

Thanks,

Chris
