Something to check might be the battery.  I had issues on my car last year with alternator whine that changed with engine speed getting into the car radio and my amateur radio equipment.  The car started fine and didn't really exhibit any signs that it was going bad until a couple months later where it was dead.  I replaced the battery with a new one and all the noise went away.

I'm speaking without much knowledge of the rotary engine so I may be completely out in left field here.

This is not a big problem since I can not hear the hum when in flight, but I thought someone might be able to tell me how to stop it.  I have the Renesis and I am using the stock capacitor that is attached to the engine.  When I turn on the alternator, there is a slight buzzing hum that appears in the headset and the frequency goes up and down with the engine.  It is pretty obviously the alternator I think.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
