Greg: dang...thought I found another Reno Racer... I plan on racing my Venture...I think it will be plenty fast. I have had some experience with the Legacy. You souls see 300plus without to much trouble at 425hp. That would get you in the Silver Sport Class Kind Regards Tom Giddings VP Avionics Sales Midwest Avionics 200 Hardy Roberts Drive Paducah, KY 42086-0219 877-904-9966 Online Store
A correction on this Tom. We
hung Aerochia's speed mods on the AC, which included leading edge fairings on
wings, and elevators, and a fuselage overlay, that in combination, are supposed
to buy us several knots of airspeed, and look great. NO racing in this
guy's agenda at Reno, unless we just get some amazing numbers when all is said
and done.

Greg: Thanks for the update.....wish I could report as much
progress on my Questair Venture. I am currently finalizing my dry sump/engine
mounting plate and should have a completed fuselage by summers end or early
fall.I am most likely a couple years behind you. You mentioned Reno Mods...Are
you planning on Racing in the sport class. Also I think your choice of the
Dynon Skyview through the Auto pilot and transponder is a great choice. I sell
a lot of Dynon to homebuilders. I have a friend of mine who just installed the
Skyview 10.5 in his Lancair IV P. It really works nice and has a decent
price point.

Hey Tom;
Still Waiting for the final
engine dyno tests, but in the meantime, we have completed all of the Reno
speed mods, landing gear, lights, rudder, elevator, and aileron
trim servo wiring. Totally rebuilt the canopy and have been
installing controls for the cowl flaps at the radiator and oil cooler doors,
and it goes without saying, hours and hours of filling, sanding, and
primer. We have finally settled on avionics, we are going with Dynon
Skyview, with the autopilot and transponder, and we are excited about
that. More as we proceed.
