I went on line to see how people removed the pilot bearing from the Eshaft.
The interesting suggestion was to use an expsion bolt anchor and screw in a
length of threaded rod. Place a weight on the rod and a large washer and nut
at the other end fashioning a slide hammer.

I went to the Auto Zone and looked at their solution.  they had a slide
hammer but it would not accomodatethe small pilot bearing.

I tried a newer Auto Zone store and they had exactly the correct slide
hammer.  Got it home and pulled two pilot bearings in about 5 minutes.  They
lend tools for free.  Just put down a deposit.
