Doug,=0A=0A  I don't know if it was me you read about, but I made a spacer =
to put the pick up tube back down to the bottom of the pan, both to pick up=
 the oil as designed, and to support the pick up tube. Otherwise, it would =
not clear the plate of the mount, and it would be 1/2" off the bottom of th=
e pan, unsupported.=0A=0A  I guess I don't know if it was necessary from an=
 oil stand point, but it was necessary to get the engine on the plate.=0A=
