Hi Chris,
I lost a rear iron from detonation when I first started experimenting with a turbo 13b. The main reason was a lean mixture.
The formula for detonation is: high intake manifold pressure, high intake air temperature and a lean mixture.
I would never go over 30" intake manifold pressure before I know for sure that the mixture is NOT lean over the full spectrum -- from idle to full power. One way is to watch the manifold pressure as you open the throttle and
limit it to 30". Do not open to full throttle until you know you do not have a lean mixture spot.
If this problem occur on one rotor only I would check the secondary fuel injectors delivery rate. If one deliver more fuel than the other, one rotor will run leaner. Then, you probably cannot tell by the o2 sensor readings.

Chris,
Well, at least this will be an inexpensive repair, but any idea what caused the springs to flatten out like that?
