Flew today and the engine ran great, although it did miss once while I was tweaking the mixture, so it was most likely mixture related and self-induced. Normally, it would mis on takeoff climb. Today's climb, while only at 2/3 throttle, was smooth as silk. So, in retrospect, it appears that this was a worthwhile exercise. I wish I could say that for all of my so-called "improvements". Guys/gals,=20

I managed to rig up the six new LS2 "Yukon" coils on my p-po= rt 20B today to see if there was any noticeable improvement over the old LS= 1 "truck" coils. =A0While I had a new set of plugs on hand, for o= nce I resisted installing them so as to not change more than one thing at a= time.=20

First impression, beginning with a stone cold engine, full rich on the= mixture, two hits of primer, hit the starter and it came to life immediate= ly. =A0I mean that it started quicker than my Mazda 3 or my Chevy Silverado= when doing a cold start. =A0It idled down to 1500-1600 as sweet as could b= e, unlike previously. =A0

I didn't have time to fully warm it up and do a full power test, b= ut I did run it to a little over 4000 rpm and it ran very smooth. =A0

So, bottom line is that I am happy with the LS2 "Yukon" coil= upgrade. =A0I will post a flight report after I get the wiring cleaned up = and flight worthy.
