Mark,
   As I recall you changed from the Renesis wheel/sensor back to the stock
20B CAS because of rpm problems..........Did you also have the intermittant
miss with the Renesis setup ??...........Could you possibly have some cross
talk in your wiring harness ??..........

OK Al, I'll tell you my reason for upgrading.  My engine has always had an occasional intermittent misfire, usually on climbout but occasionally in cruise.  It happens infrequently just to one compression cycle and then it clears up.  Obviously, this does not instill confidence with pax, or myself either.  I've tried various solutions, but the problem persists.  I'm hoping the hotter spark from the 585 coils will cure this annoying problem.  I'll report back after installing the new coils and test flying.

Perhaps it’s obvious to someone, but I’m wondering whether it comparable to watts/channel on a stereo. 50 per channel into good speakers is enough to drive you out of your home; but the salesperson will try to convince you that 1000 watts must be 10 times better.  The D580 certainly makes a very good spark, which ignites the mixture just fine.  Once the arc is made and the fuel molecules are burning, does 120 ma spark give you anything that a 60 ma spark doesn’t if the voltage is the same?  Presumably it is just a matter of spark duration.
