Folks,
A fellow at my local airport has an E-racer (canard) with a supercharged
IO-540 in it, he has solved the cooling problem on the ground by the use of
exhaust augmentors that work very well. Enclosed are a couple of shots of
the system. The augmentors are rectangular, and the exhaust pipe is made
rectangular at the end. This system works better than an earlier version
that had round tubes for the augmentors. He can taxi indefinitely without
overheating his engine because of the suction that these provide.

The inlet photo shows the NACA duct with boundary layer ledges that also
functions extremely well.  He gets ~7inches of water pressure when flying.
