No, Joe, I did not.  I had not realized at the time (boy, ha= ve I gained an education messing with this alternative engine stuff {:>)= ) that simply putting a circuit breaker in the field coil line would not necessarily turn off the alternator when = it was pulled.    I have verified that pulling the CB after the a= lternator is turning does NOT turn it off - at least not mine.
