Mark makes a good point that I forgot to mention, Joe. I also run my alternator on a larger pulley to slow the revs down - my main pulley underdrives as well - so my alternator is not winding very fast at all - perhaps one reason it has lasted.

One more thing... I changed to a 4" pulley from Canton racing. I didn't feel comfortable running them at 20,000 rpm as would be the case with the stock 2" pulley.

What alternator is being used on the rotary? With EFI and electronic
ignition I would think a 60 amp would be suitable. Does anyone have a light
weight small solution? Thanks for any help.
