Hey Lynn, thanks for covering this again … pretty sure this was briefly discussed several months ago … today it finally sank in!!
I have a nagging minor oil leak at the block-to-sub-mount junction at the Front (output shaft end) of my 13B. I only have the small breather tube in the oil fill tube, though I’ve never seen anything come out of it, I will be modifying
it to at least ½” very soon. Hoping there is a good chance this is the cause of my oil leak.

This is a junk RX-2 engine with tons of blow-by.
This thing would fill a catch tank in 45 minutes.
It was needed for testing a new chassis so I built this mod into the oil filler tube.
Notice the downward sloped baffles.
Worked like a charm. No more oil blowing out.
The output tube to the catch tank was a piece of 5/8" electrical conduit.
