John, my oil opening below the spinner is 10 1/2" wide and averages 2 1/2"
high (it varies from approx 3" high at center of opening to less as you
approach the ends. OC24 shows the opening front on and OC25 shows the
fiberglass plenum from the inside of in the incomplete cowl modification.
Also attached is a side-by-side photo (sort of ) of my oil cooler opening
and Ians which he made slightly smaller and apparently gets adequate cooling
down under.
