Hi
Kevin;
This is a bit of a coincidence, because the night before
you sent this message, I finally pulled mine out after 3 years and put it
together.
Back
when I first started my RV project, some troublemaker on the list started asking
questions about where he could find one. I'd never heard of one but being an
easily impressionable youth, I thought "wow, what a cool idea, I want one too".
So after an exhaustive 2 minute search on E-bay I found one and started bidding.
I was probably bidding against the other troublemaker... err lister, but was
able to win at $25 usd. Then of coarse there was the old
out-of-the-country-shipping-scam coupled with the very low Canadian dollar at
the time and my little treasure cost me the better part of $50, but it would be
worth it... right??
Well, when I received it I found that the brainiac that
sold it to me figured he didn't need the instructions, so he'd thrown them out
and what the heck did he need these little screws for when he had a big tube of
glue, so he threw them out too. When he quickly found that it wasn't going
together very well, he threw it back in the box, wrapped it up in Saran wrap and
advertised it as "New, still wrapped in the box" and waited for a sucker to come
along. So I did. :-)
So I finally got around to assembling it as close to
properly as I could. Disassembling the previously glued pieces and cleaning them
up before assembling using hardware was achieved with moderate success, so now
it works... sort of. Rotors turns and plugs fire, but I'm sure glad that the one
I put in the RV runs allot smoother. I'd hoped to use it to demonstrate the
operation of the rotary to those unfamiliar with it. I think I might just keep
it hidden:-)
I think you got a better deal. Hope it works
better
