I have found that the 304 SS is more ductile than the = mild steel to work and I have used expanders to swag the thin wall tubing. I generally hook up a air impact wrench to the expander and let the = impacing force force the tube wider.=20 Ed Anderson And 321 is even more ductile than 304, wonderful stuff to work with and weld. I use the pipe expander & impact wrench trick on .035 & .049. = Works great depending on quality of hardware in expanders. The threads get = galled up pretty quick on cheepies.
