A fellow builder down my hangar row is a professional wel= der by trade. He has started the modifications and from what I can tell = (while not versed in welding) looks really good. He has also expressed t= he same issues independantly of my bringing it up which does add some ass= urance. Yes, I am using an external wastegate coming off the manifold. It too wi= ll be secured to the engine to help hold the weight. I have read about y= ours on a number of occasions. I love my Dynon even though I have not flown. My big decision is do I wan= t to "upgrade" to the new SkyView system. I gotta admit the current box i= s not bad...but the new one looks sweet if it lives up to the potential.
