I have been in = touch with the Australian designer (Ron Ligeti) who is an Aviation = Engineer. He is currently trying to get his design up and running after = the open source approach was a failure. Seems like he may now have found = a financial backer. The Stratos was originally designed and built by his father Charles = (also an Engineer) who died in a more radical design ( Not the Stratos). = Naturally I have been guiding him toward the rotary engine. With the = current Ultralight category his power needs are low and the smaller = rotary go-cart engine is sufficient for that - however the beauty of his = design is that it is scalable and I am looking for something that meets = the Light Sport Category.
