Waaaay off topic, lacking in diplomacy and sensitivity, but your story poked me in the eye with a sharp stick - not your fault! I may not know who this person is, exactly, but I know of someone on another rotary list who fits the bill judging by experiences that I've had. The guy is a rotary engine font of knowledge, no doubt about it, but he is a tyrant on that list, he can be really rude and arbitrary, and then put a lot of effort into helping you (my feeling is that it happens only if you are deemed worthy by his standards). Does not play well with others, and it's always his ball. I've been surprised at my self-control, and at my luck in not having said the wrong things too much (maybe my luck just ran out). It would mean losing his expertise, but what a cost to those that have been hurt! It's a tight rope, and I'm sorry you got such a hit. The payoff for me is the much greater number of nice guys that I've met. This group is always a pleasant experience for me! Thank you all....Bernie.
