My bridgeported engines shift at 9,600 RPM. Periphery port short race engines shift at 10,700 and long race peripherys a more modest 10,300 RPM. The crazy drag racers do 12,000 RPM. So you shoudn't rev yours very high.either. You might get it hot or hurt those pesky apex seals. Lynn E.
