Well, I mentioned I was having some injector issues. I was getting shut down when trying to use the secondaries and incredible bad running leading to shut down with just the secondaries.
Since the last time it was running smoothly was just before I pulled the bad B&C regulator to send it back, I started at the basics....perhaps I had dislodged something when I was working around wires. YEP....I found one of my spade terminals had pulled off the secondary switch. Reattached and she fired up and ran well in all switch combinations.
Oh....just a little side commentary. Save me from "experts". My friends in a hangar close by hired a "build expert" to help them get past some concerns with their build (they are both NASA engineer big wigs and are quite thorough in all their dealings. Good people). However, even though the "expert" seemed nice enough and I am sure he knows his business, he could not be much more condescending. "Well, you know the problem with the rotary is......hot exhaust.....and you know about the apex seals, don't cha". Do you really want to rev the engine up that much, your crank shaft may not be able to take it with a load Also, that is not the best prop". "Your engine should not be surging that way" ......well, considering I was throttling it up and down on purpose, I think it should.
That is about the extent of the "conversation". No idle chit chat, just "helpful" commentary. Interesting too since his expert status comes from building various airframes.....AFAIK, not engines. AND, maybe he is right about it all?
GEEEEESH. Bless his helpful intent. But please. Criticism I can take, constructive criticism I seek, but condensation I can do without.
Vent over. Thank you. for your support. <g>
All the best
