Ah, but Richard I know folks who have a CNC
milling machine and I just somehow don’t think they could have done what
you have done.
Incredible piece of work, I hope you are
documenting your efforts as you went along – it would make quite a story
I am sure.
Heck, installation issues are going to be
child’s play after the technical challenges you have solved with that
engine.
Great looking – when you gonna fly

update
Just want to show that I am still here.
All major parts are done, and I have started on some installation
issues. A
first shot at the engine mount as seen in the pictures. The radiator will be
on the cool side of the engine and the oil cooler will be below. The exhaust
installation has not been decided, yet. Ignition is going to be a CDI box
which I have been using on the test engine, with a dual coil. On the
carburetor, I know that a Micuni round slide works good, but the lack of
mixture control is making me look around for other options.
So, I am just fiddling along to get it done.
BTW, I could not have it done without going CNC with my milling machine.
