Lynn has often told us about vena contracta (sp?) at the opening of a
tube or other flow restriction.  It's one thing to be told about it,
it's another to see it in action.  I found this as I've been
investigating my inline blower for boost.

BTW, it appears that if I build it well, I will be able to make a 170Hp
installation a 190Hp installation with only 3 extra lbs.  2psi of boost
will require less than 2Hp to generate and increase the engine output by
a  factor of roughly 1.13.
