Greetings,
I sent these to Doug
offline, but I wanted to make sure I have this correct before either of us
starts to drill holes in their housings. Tracy tried to describe
where to drill a hole for an oil return, but I didn't have a housing in front of
me at the time to follow along. In the picture, I have a big +
marked in two potential locations. Actually, it looks like you could put
the fitting anywhere in between these two marks as well, but would have to
make sure you don't drill into the reinforcing member in the
center.
Does anyone see a problem
with drilling and tapping a hole here? What would be the recommended
size for the redrive return?
I currently have mine
running to the oil drain plug location, and it's working fine, but I'll probably
drill and tap the housing and run an aluminum line for the oil drain. I
managed to break my oil filler cap, and already dropped some plastic down into
the pan. Might as well add some aluminum shavings :-)

later)
