Pushed it out last night to run it a git more.  Seems like I have a good pattern for starting.  3 shots prime, injector off, crank and when the primed fuel starts to fire turn on primary injector.  Started up right away the first time.  Spent some time trying to get the RPM display right.  Looks like a previous formula I had was wrong, but I think I figured out exactly what the speed signal from the EC2 really is, so I have rewritten the formula and am ready to try it.  I have the datalog for all engine parameters set up but forgot to turn the logger on before running.  While we need the rain, am hoping it will stop so I can run again tonight.  While waiting on the rain will be trying to set up the monitoring of the o2 sensor so I can tune with its guidance.  I did a little tuning last night by ear finding that slightly rich of default seems to run best in the 1500 to 2000 range.

One concern I have is a big difference in EGT 1, 2, 3.  1 is running about 200F hotter than the others.  To see if I have a sensor issue I swapped EGT 1 and 2.  While swapping i found the #2 sensor to be rather sooty (rich mixture) but the #1 looked more ash colored (normal mixture.)  If the sensor readings are correct, looks like I may need to adjust the injector differential for rotors 2 and 3, but Tracys instructions cautions not doing so at lower RPM.  Not sure what direction to go on the injector differential - if 2 rotors are rich and 1 is normal/lean, my O2 may give a stiometric reading while each rotor may not be running stiometric since the O2 sensor is reading a composite of all 3 rotors.  Looks like I may need more data to figure this part out.

But, it was nice to have it fire right up on the first crank.
Thanks for asking,
Joe
