Does anyone know if the intermediate housing for the 86-88 is the same as on the 89-91 ?

I am rebuilding a JDM engine and found that the intermediate housing is warped.  The only one I have found so far is an 86-88, but I’m not sure if that will fit.

Here are some information sources.

All of the irons seem to work with anything so long as the "O" ring seal grooves are installed. There are changes like the one side motor mount pad and various pollution drillings. If you are building a Periphery port engine, only the "O" ring grooves matter. For side ports you need to check the iron for sure as, intake port size, location and intake manifold stud location may be different.

Ask about that of one of the above experts. There may be used irons available. Also check the RX-7 club and Nopistons for used parts.
