and exhaust events so that is the same for bot= h=2E =26nbsp=3BThe power event=2C which is the source of the torque impu= lse=2C=26nbsp=3Btakes 1/2 of a crank rotation for the recip=2E =26nbsp=3B= In the rotary the power event requires 1/4 of a ROTOR rotation=2C but th= e rotor rotates at 1/3 crank rotation - the result is that the power imp= ulse lasts 3/4 of a CRANK rotation=2C 50=25 longer than in a recip=2E =26= nbsp=3BTherefore=2C the torsional excitation delivered to the propeller=2C= PSRU and to the airframe is significantly less than for a recip=2E =26n= bsp=3BAnd if you analyze the actual forces imparted=2C they go down by t= he square of the rpm=2E =26nbsp=3BThe torsional vibration amplitude goes= down by a factor of 4 just because the rpm of the rotary turns about tw= ice as builders to consider v= apor lock possibilities very seriously=2C much more so if you intend to = run auto gas=2E =26nbsp=3Bwhen I was going to do this I planned to put o= ne electric pump in the wing
