I mostly flew around at peak EGT but now I will be more careful about keeping the EGT less than 1600. The last turbo lasted 170 flight hours... will try to do better next time. Hi Steve,

No definite proof, but I am quite sure that it was due to excessive exhaust gas temps eventually melting away part of the inconel turbine blade and making the turbine unbalanced. I mostly flew around at peak EGT but now I will be more careful about keeping the EGT less than 1600.  The last turbo lasted 170 flight hours... will try to do better next time.

After four years of flying a collection of parts, I am now flying a finished aircraft.  Really feels cool.  The camera was poor quality.  Turned out better than it looks in these pics (poor color and out of focus).   But I just  couldn't wait to share with someone.
